This past Sunday I met Elena and Jose out in the foothills for a Maternity Session. For starters, this place is...magical. There was wildlife everywhere: dozens of deer, geese, gorgeous trees, grassy open fields, a river, neat old buildings, you name it! The lighting was just as wonderful too. And to top it all off, Elena and Jose are simply amazing. I couldn't, and still can't, get over how gorgeous Elena is. Seriously one of the most beautiful pregnant women I've ever met. And Jose? Yes, he's handsome too and the biggest sweetheart. Oh my goodness, and he is in love with Elena. Like, LOVE. He kept commenting on how beautiful she looked and how even on the small things, like how her earring poked out from her long dark hair was amazing. Just an all-around awesome couple about to have a baby girl in just a couple short months. I can't wait to meet their gorgeous baby! Thank you Elena and Jose for such a great evening and having patience with pregnant ol' me!

Last week I got to shoot an adorable newborn named Julia. She is such a sweet little baby, lemme tell you. She was awake and alert for most of her session- I think because she didn't want to miss out on any of the action! Oh man, does she love her mommy and daddy too. She was happiest when she was being held by either one. I don't blame her for loving her parents either because Tracey and Jasen are so tender and loving. And Julia already has her dad wrapped around her tiny finger!

Just look at those CHEEKS! To die for.

I love the simplicity and happiness of this one.

I like this image because Julia is laying on top of a blanket made by her grandmother in a crib that used to be her mother's. I love the sentimentality (is that a word??) of it all.
