{hot chocolate and hamilton}

Let me just say that I'm not used to this kind of weather in the middle of May. I'm used to the I'm-sweating-so-much-that-my-legs-are-sticking-to-the-leather-seats-of-this-car kind of weather. Don't get me wrong though, I do enjoy the cooler temperatures. And the rain. But ugh, c'mon already, it's mid-May Mother Earth! I'm ready for the beach weather! This chilly and rainy afternoon definitely called for some hot chocolate.......

In other good news, Lee Lee and I got a pug yesterday! Yay! His name is Hamilton and he is a sweet one-year-old little boy. He snorts like crazy and I love it! He is still getting used to his new home and getting used to being around Frank. Er, I guess I should say Frank is trying to get used to sharing his home. Frank's been king of the castle for a few years now so I don't think he likes the idea of sharing. But hopefully they'll get along and become BFF's in no time. Ha! So please welcome our new member of the Horton Family!

Just look at that face!

{a post about post-its}

I took a look at my desk today realized something: I'm addicted to Post-Its. Seriously! There are so many Post-Its on and around my computer. I don't think there's ever a time when their bright colors are not covering one part of my desk or another. I use them to take notes for everything: details from phone conversations, online order numbers, events, ideas, you name it, I've probably written about it on a Post-It. I even re-stack used ones in a pile when I'm done with them in case I need to refer back to them if I need to. Probably not the best way to keep my thoughts and life organized, but hey, it works.

Everything about Post-Its are great: they have bright colors, can stick to just about anything and come in various shapes and sizes. They are so great that even Romy and Michelle lied about inventing them at their high school reunion.

Do I think I'm crazy? Haha, yes, probably so. But I think I will continue to indulge in this quirky addiction anyway. =]

{26th birthday}

This past Friday I turned 26. I was less than thrilled to say the least. I just have to admit that I am not happy to go from mid-twenties to older-twenties. Ugh! But, what can I do?! Nada! So, I will keep my chin up, and as I'm reminded by my mom, getting old is better than the alternative. She is totally right. I am thankful to be alive and to be loved. My family and friends are the best out there and I feel blessed to have them in my life. And besides, women are like fine wine, they get better with age. Haha!

My handsome hubby and I before going out on my bday.

Frank getting settled in for the evening. I'm sorry, but I have the cutest cat ever.

Not a flattering pic, but everyone needs a pic with their bday cake! {Btw, I made it. And it's cheesecake}

My favorite flowers. Lee gets 'em for me every year for my birthday. I heart him.

{Mesa, AZ Wedding Photographer}

{eric & kristen}

Eric and Kristen were married last month on a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon at the Windemere Hotel. I was worrying about the weather leading up to the big day because it was like, record heat {for that time of the year} just a couple days beforehand. Luckily, Mother Nature decided to cool down a few degrees for their wedding day.

You might remember these two love birds from their engagement session back in October. They were just as much fun to shoot and hang out with as they were then. I seriously just love these two. Eric has the greatest sense of humor and personality. He kept the mood light and fun all day long! And Kristen. I mean, I still can't get over how beautiful she is and how much in love I am with her hair {Yeah, I have a little obsession with red hair. I can't help it!}. She's also got this easy-going/go-with-the-flow type personality that makes her so easy to be around. These two seriously go together so well. It's easy to see their chemistry and love for another. You can just see it in the way they look at each other. I love that kind of love! And I love Eric & Kristen! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day.

Last minute primping =]

Eric looked super handsome.

Eric anticipating the First Look. One of my faves.

Kristen is so beautiful. 'Nough said.

I love these next two. The way Eric touches Kristen's face is just so tender.

The girls! I love Kristin's laugh {second from the right}!

The whole gang. They were quite the group!

How cute are the flower girls?!

A sweet and quiet moment during the ceremony.

I love, love how happy they both look during their first dance as husband and wife.

Eric is a huge Yankees fan. So much so that he had his sister Kristin make this truly awesome groom's cake for him. She's got skills!

The Best Man's speech was the funniest I have ever heard! Seriously, everyone couldn't stop laughing!

Like I said, couldn't stop laughing!

I love this image of Eric with his Nonna. It melts my heart.

Look at that anticipation!!
