Last week I got to shoot a great lil' family at my new favorite spot in Folsom. Sonya is friends with a couple of my clients Elena and Sophia {you can see their sessions here and here} and I love the both of them, so I was excited to meet her! She is sweet and kind-hearted and so was her husband Jason. And oh my, their daughter Gabriella is a little snuggle bug! As soon as she saw me she ran up and gave me a hug. My heart seriously melted! And the hugging didn't stop there- she hugged me a plethora of times throughout the rest of our shoot. Um, can I please take you home with me, Gabriella?? :)

I first shot this cutie during her Newborn Session {which you can see here} back in September, so I was eagerly anticipating seeing how much she has grown over the past 3 months. I was delighted to see that she had not only gotten cuter but even chunkier! I'm infatuated with her Michelin Man legs and roll-y poll-y arms. ;) I can't wait to see her and her sweet mommy and daddy again in 3 months!

She was very serious when we first started, but oh-so-darling.

Last Friday I was able to do a mini session for The Jared Family at one of my favorite spots. Shauna was actually referred to me by a past client, Kristin, whom I shot back this Summer {you can see her family session here}. It's always the biggest compliment when I receive referrals....it seriously warms my heart knowing that people like my work. :) Anyway! I was excited to meet Shauna, Jason, their daughter Arizona, as well as their two dogs. Shauna and Jason run CrossFit Folsom Lake together, so if you wanna get a kick-butt workout, go see them! I had the opportunity to shoot a precious eight-day-old newborn the other day. I was so happy to have the opportunity to work with Elena and Jose again. I first met them when I did their maternity session back in September {which you can see here} and instantly fell in love with them. They are such a sweet, beautiful couple who have now brought a gorgeous little girl into the world. Lyla is one adorable baby, for real. I think my favorite thing about her is that full head of hair! C'mon, have you ever seen a newborn with that much fluffy black hair? I think not! Try not to fall too head over heels with Lyla...

The light coming into Lyla's nursery was really dramatic and moody.

Warning, I am a just a little bit too much in love with this family. But I have the right to be because they are part of my family! Denise and Ray are my aunt & uncle and Jordan, Katie (& Dominic) are my cousins. Little Ashie-Poo is my second cousin and whom I must say, is freakin' adorable! You might recognize Katie, Dominic and Ashtyn from previous sessions which you can see here, here, here and here. I always love shooting them! It was fun to shoot Denise and Ray and Jordan for the first time too. I had fun just hangin' with the fam that afternoon. :)
